We invite you to an interactive workshop on Social Emotional Learning for ākonga with learning disability and Down syndrome which has been developed to enhance professional knowledge, skill, and develop local resources that have been used across New Zealand schools.

About the Event
The PLD network is ‘FOR TEACHERS BY TEACHERS’. We invite you to an interactive workshop on Social Emotional Learning for ākonga with learning disability and Down syndrome which has been developed to enhance professional knowledge, skill, and develop local resources that have been used across New Zealand schools.
The day will incorporate multisensory Social Emotional learning and social skill strategies, theory to practice and resources to support students to:
· Develop vocabulary and communication skills
· Develop social skills, build confidence, and participate in all areas of school life
· Develop key competencies – self management and regulation.
