About the Event

The Network of Expertise invites you to an interactive workshop focused on social skills for students.  The day will incorporate social skill strategies, theory to practice and resources to support students to:

  • Behaviour and self - regulation: reaction to peers, remaining focused on the task, managing emotions
  • Visual Schedules School routines: curriculum, breaks, change, responsibility to return from breaks
  • Specific implications for practice
  • Friendships and relationships
  • Self-management: how to develop checking own skills/performance, maintaining concentration
  • Build confidence
  • Communication: expression of needs, conversation skills
  • A range of resources will be available to work with on these days school teams
  • Take some resources back to your school to work with students.
